Dear Baby:

You came!
We are obsessed with you.
Papi kisses you about 300 times per day.
Mommy snuggles you so hard you might think you're suffocating.
Oftentimes I look at you and think that I'm staring at an angel.
Oftentimes I look at you and can't believe that I am this lucky.
Oftentimes I look at you and can't imagine how exactly you were stuffed inside my belly.
All the time I look at you and see your daddy which is nice because I miss him every day he is at work.
I miss him even more now that you are here.
I just want to hang out with my two favorite people all day, every day.

I truly cannot believe how blessed I am.
I cannot help but thank Heavenly Father several times a day for sending you to us.
You have manged to make your Papi and me even more happy than we already were.
We had no idea how much fun we would have with you around.

In the middle of the night when I'm sitting in the rocking chair in the corner while feeding you and Papi looks at us through half-open eyes, we get laughing about the silliest things.
When you are extra fussy during the night, Papi will walk back and forth with you around the bedroom singing to you all of the songs from his childhood (except that he rewrites all the words to include your name in them).
Last night was especially funny because he was singing his heart out, but he didn't have any voice so it was more like a growl.
It made me chuckle.

I can't get over your expressions.
You make us laugh so hard at your smiley faces, frowny faces, pucker lips, and crossed eyes when you get sleepy.

I can't get over your cry.
Sorry to say, it is so cute.
Papi thinks, from listening to your cry, that you are going to be a soprano.

I can't get over your hair.
Little curly's are developing and the hairs right at the top of your head are longer than all the rest.
I figure those hairs are getting ready for a little curl and a bow sometime soon.
Speaking of hair, you LOVE having your hair washed.
You may scream through the duration of your sponge bath but when it's hair washing time, you are in heaven.
I tell Papi you are a true girl...loving "gettin' your hair did".
You also love it when I file your nails.
Looks like I'll have a partner in crime to enjoy hair appointments and manicures with.

Bottom line, little one, is that looking into your eyes for the first time was the most magical moment of my life.
It only took minutes to forget the pain of labor and delivery and I must admit that I'd do it 1,000 times over if it meant bringing you into the world.
You are an angel and I've been waiting for you.
You were worth the wait.
You are worth every sleepless night.
You are worth every sacrifice we'll ever make for you.

Thanks for choosing us.
Love, Mommy and Papi
